Our Repertoire & Activities
Queen’s Park Singers is a friendly, non-auditioned choir established in 1998, celebrating
classical repertoire from Medieval to Contemporary. We are dedicated to developing musicianship
and vocal skills, striving for high standards to delight both ourselves and our audience.
Our 2025-26 season included a concert performance of Purcell’s King Arthur (with baroque
orchestra) and Poulenc’s Stabat Mater (with London Medical Orchestra) and “A Circle of Songs”
featuring works by Brahms, Clara and Robert Schumann.
Plans for 2026-27 include French works by Gounod and Lili Boulanger (with the Royal Free
Music Society and Barnet Symphony Orchestra); Scandinavian choral repertoire (with
saxophone quartet); and J.S. Bach’s St Matthew Passion (with baroque orchestras).
As well as concerts, we regularly organize workshops (repertoire, vocal technique, musicianship),
hold fundraising dinners, sing carols, perform at community events, and collaborate with local
composers. We even recently published our first recipe book: Treble Chef!
Our Music Director
Oliver Till is a conductor lauded by The Times for his 'ambitious, intelligent programming.' He
regularly leads the London Medical Orchestra, Barnet Symphony Orchestra, and Queen’s Park
Singers (since 2015).
A former Westminster Cathedral chorister, Ollie studied at the Royal College of Music Junior
Department before continuing his training at the University of Manchester, Dartington
International Summer School, RNCM, London Sinfonietta Academy, Järvi Academy, and
Sibelius Academy.
In 2014, he founded The Asyla Ensemble, known for its innovative programming, including
pairings like Ives with The Nutcracker, and Reich with Rameau. His opera conducting credits
feature a sold-out The Cunning Little Vixen at Grimeborn, along with La Bohème and the Da
Ponte trilogy. He has assisted on numerous productions, such as George Benjamin’s Written on
Skin and Lessons in Love and Violence.
As a pianist, Ollie frequently accompanies vocal students at the Royal Welsh College of Music
and Drama and has worked with Sir Thomas Allen at the Royal Opera House. A strong advocate
for new music, he has conducted over 70 works by living composers.
